The health insurance industry is extremely competitive so I wanted to share with you how to get a health insurance quote without being called by 10 agents or more a day.

The keywords, “health insurance quote” has an average of about 135,000 searches a month on Google alone so what that means is that advertisers in this industry have a very competitive time trying to get their spot in front of your eyeballs so that you will visit their site and hopefully you will fill out a quote with them.

With that being said, there are numerous companies out there that will pop up and so which one do you choose on getting your health insurance quote?

Here are some tips:

1) Be cautious of the advertising spots. What I mean is that when you do a search on Google you will see the first 3 or 4 sites at the very top are highlighted. And often times on the right-hand side there is a list of sites running down that side too. These spots are paid for by companies that are looking to do business with you. The reason that I say to be cautious of these is because any Joe Schmoe can put together an ad and list in the Google Sponsored spots. In other words – they may not be the best company to go with just because they are willing to pay some money to be seen. This isn’t always the case because right now those spots are pretty expensive so you would have to have a lot of many to remain in those spots for the long haul. After doing some research those spots for health insurance quote can run anywhere from 7 – 16 dollars per click!

2) See who seems to consistently show up in the organic rankings of the top 3 search engines which are Google, Yahoo, and MSN. If you do this for about a month, you will notice a pattern and probably would be able to share with everyone who the top 5 companies are for getting a health insurance quote for you. These companies have invested a lot of time and money to be organically ranked so that are most likely serious and professional in how they will handle your information.

3) Read their privacy statements. Before you fill out that form make sure you read about how they will share your information. This typically is where you will find out how many times your information will be shared giving you an idea of how many agents will be calling you to offer that health insurance quote. If the company doesn’t have anything like that, then I would not even fill out the form to get a health insurance quote because you are probably asking for trouble.
